Girls in STEM Camp 2019
4 pm, Friday, August 23 to 11 am, Sunday, August 25, 2019
Girls, ages 10 to 14 years old
Sierra Nevada Journeys, employee volunteers from Women in Tesla and Envirolution invite you to a one-of-a-kind weekend. Make new friendships and build skills while on our famous challenge course; you will have the chance to scale the Alpine Tower or soar through the skyline on zip line. Visit our onsite pond and learn about water ecology or attend the Energy Matters session where you design models that demonstrate how matter and energy move through an ecosystem. Also, we’ll have a fantastic line-up of professionals from the STEM industry to share their experiences and interact with you through games and activities.
This will be a rad weekend outdoors with a cool group of people. Join the fun!
Thanks to a grant awarded by Tesla to Sierra Nevada Journeys, the Girls in STEM camp is only a $25 registration fee. Accommodations, meals and programming are included. Camp starts on Friday at 4 pm, and ends at 11 am on Sunday morning. Girls in STEM is held at our beautiful Grizzly Creek Ranch camp, located 50 minutes north of Reno. We have modern facilities and 1,500 acres for hiking, exploring and learning.
